Sweet Poppy Stencils - TV Samples Day One.

Morning all,  Sweet Poppy Stencils will be on Create and Craft TV, Wednesday 6th August with some BRAND NEW STEAM PUNK designs. I LOVE 'em
The two sample cards I'm sharing with you today are The Mechanical Horse (watch out for the dog too!)
Card one was created using BRUSHO Paints for the background and Black Soot Distress Ink through the stencil. So EASY and Quick.

Sample two features White Glossy Dimensional Paste, with a little talc added to make it Matt rather than glossy.  The stencil was washed and after the paste had REALLY dried I taped the stencil back down on top of the image and using a  blending tool along with felt pads, coloured it with Alcohol Inks.
Be back on Sunday morning with more NEW  STEAM PUNK IMAGES! .... Lavinia Stamps challenge tomorrow with more Brusho Paint backgrounds to show you x
Thanks for looking today.

Brusho Paints and Penny Black Poppy

Hi ho all you Bloggers... I've been playing with Brusho Paints again! Me and my crafty pals on Facebook have had a wonderful time with these paints.
To make this card it was Splish, Splash, Splosh with some water onto watercolour card.

Sprinkle some Black Brusho Powder onto a heat mat or other surface that will allow you to mix with copious amounts of water then Dib, Dab, Dob and Dribble over the card for the background, adding more colour where you want.
I layered up the black paint on the background using some kitchen towel to mop up excess water/colour if it 'dribbled' where I didn't want it to dribble!

The Poppy Stamp is from Penny Black and the sentiment stamp from Sheena Douglass.
You will fine both the Penny Black Stamp and Brusho Paints ( they are getting the WHOLE RANGE !) at Oyster Stamps.
Thanks for looking today .... Back soon.

Designs By Ryn Stamps, SplodgeAway Mask And Brusho Paints.

Morning all... another lovely day and time for more HOT colours!
I'm sharing another card created with Brusho Paints .. you can buy them at Oyster Stamps.
After mixing some Brusho Paint colours up with water onto my heat mat using a paint brush, I splodged some colours through a SplodgeAway Mask onto some smooth cartridge paper. Then I stamped over the top with Ryn's FAMOUS Water-droplets... get them HERE!
Highlight the Water-droplets with a white pigment ink pen, stamp a couple of words and ... job done.
Have a good day, whatever you are doing.
Back soon, thank you for popping over.

Sweet Poppy Stencil and Brusho Paints

Good morning all you little Bloggers!
I have a NEW love, apart from Timmy that is!.... BRUSHO Paints.
Highly pigmented powder paint. You will find them available at
Oyster Stamps.
A few words on how I made this card ... no falling asleep at the back I'll be asking questions!

Smooth cartridge card. 'Puddle' on some water with a brush, shake on some paint ( I've put a small hole in the middle of my pots) ) let it spread for a moment....then quickly 'lift off' some of the paint and residue water with kitchen towel... repeat over the top, in layers, using less water and different colours... until you are happy ... The Wild Flower Stencil, from Sweet Poppy Stencils was coloured using Black Soot Distress ink... when totally dry I outlined the petals with a White Pigment ink pen .... I'll be back soon
LOVIN these paints!

I'm hosting another workshop in Rochester this weekend and I'm planning to show my crafty 'students' how to create this.... so easy, they probably won't need me anyway, so I'll just give 'em all the necessary materials, then just loll around eating cake and slurping fruit teas..... Good plan!
A Memory Box Die 'Large Circle Burst', Memory Box Stencil 'Garden' and a few Distress inks, plus a small 'Grass' stamp from a set by Inkylicious

JOFY and Tim Holtz Stencils = Art Journal Page

This page, for my Art Journal, was quite quick to do.
A Distress Inks blended background. A small amount of water 'puddled' into my cupped hand, then it's 'happy clappy' so the water is sloshed placed precisely where I want it to go over the page.

Dry with a heat gun . Stencil, using a dark shade of Distress Ink, through the Tim Holtz 'Shattered' Stencil.
Position the JOFY stencils and colour the images using PaperArtsy Fresco Paints... I love 'em, as you know by now!
Scribble, highlight and dab here and there with a white pigment ink pen and a black fine line pen. Job done!
Thank you for looking at my Blog again today.
Have good week ... more inky stuff tomorrow... its a hard life..... !
