Designs by Ryn Stamps, Distress Inks and a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Hi ho bloggers.
Tag time today! A Designs by Ryn Raindrops Stamp, Cuttlebug Circles embossing folder along with Aged Mahogany and Faded Jeans Distress Inks.

I placed some smooth white card stock into the EF and ran it through my Big Shot machine.
After blending the Distress Inks over the top and drying with a heat gun, I applied some Treasure Gold Wax Gilt, very sparingly, over the raised embossed edges of the circles.
On some spare card that I'd coloured with the same colours of distress inks, I stamped a few of the single Raindrops and cut them out.
I plonked them onto the front of the tag then coloured some seam binding in the same colours but used distress stains .... loved making this tag..... think I'll do a few more!
Thanks for looking today
Have a good weekend

Lavinia Stamps Tutorial ... Thistles.

Yo ho .. it's me again. A quick card today with a picture tutorial for you to follow if you wish to.
This card uses first, second and third generation stamping with various colours from the Versafine Range of ink pads. The card stock I've used is Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion. I turned the card over and blended the colours of Distress inks shown in the pictures, onto the reverse, white side of the card stock .

Crushed Olive, build up several layers using a blending tool.

Add more layers with Squeezed Lemonade

Finally, blend Bundled Sage around the edges.

Take off first generation Versafine ink onto scrap paper.

Lavinia Stamps 'Thistles'
As you can see, the smaller Thistle 'bud' was inked up and then stamped off onto scrap to remove the first generation layer of ink. The large Thistle was inked and stamped straight onto the card stock.
All the stamps I've used are available from Lavinia Stamps.
Mat and layer your card onto a card base, .... job done!
I hope I've remembered to include everything in this tutorial.
Please message me if you have any questions.
Thank you all, so much, for the interest in my blog..... every comment is really appreciated.

More DT Samples for Sweet Poppy Stencils.... Create and Craft TV. Saturday 22nd June 4pm

Yo ho little bloggers. If you love using Sweet Poppy Stencils and want to own a few more, tune into Create and Craft TV on Saturday 22nd June at 4pm and see some brand new designs.
Plus some popular favourites. They are fantastic!

'Thank You', created using Gold Paste on the stencil, that was placed in the middle of the circle constructed by stamping around in a circle with various colours of distress inks, using just ONE tiny foliage stamp from Lavinia Stamps.
I used a Nestabilities Circle die as a guide. My friend Melissa gave me this idea!

I adore this Poppy, designed by Tracey Dutton from Lavinia stamps for Sweet Poppy Stencils.

Colour the 'Poppy' image through the stencil. Remove the stencil and dry the inks with a heat gun.

After cleaning the stencil I attached it back into place and taped it firmly down again with some lo tac tape. I applied Translucent Paste and after very carefully removing the stencil, I covered the image with clear Micro Beads and left the card  to dry overnight.... don't be tempted to touch!
Thanks for looking today ... more samples tomorrow.

Sweet Poppy Stencils, Lavinia Stamps, Distress inks and Micro Beads.

Morning Bloggers.
A busy weekend ahead for me. F1 Racing from Canada.
Some crafting, whoop -whoop and Gardening ( yuk!)
So before I play with the weed-killer and lawn mower I would like to share this card with you.

I blended a background using Distress Inks onto smooth white card stock, then taped the Sweet Poppy Stencil, Fairy House, using very lo tac masking tape, down onto the fully dried card.

I chose various colours of Distress Inks and  coloured the image through the stencil. Remove the stencil and dry the inks with a heat gun.

After cleaning the stencil I attached it back into place and taped it firmly down again.
I applied Translucent Paste from Sweet Poppy Stencils and after very carefully removing the stencil, I covered the image with clear Micro Beads that are also available in a large pot from Sweet Poppy Stencils.

I left my project to dry overnight then stamped around the edge using the pretty Cherry Blossom from Lavinia stamps.

I hope you have a fun weekend.
Thanks for your visit to my blog today, back soon with another  Sweet Poppy Stencils and Lavinia Card!
