Sweet Poppy Stencils, 10 x 8 inch Canvas Board and Brusho Paints.

Morning everyone. Just a quick post to share these super, NEW, Sweet Poppy Stencil designs with you.
There are STILL more to come.
All of the projects shown here are Stenciled images, on 10 x 8 inch Primed Canvas Board using Black Archival Ink through the stencil, onto a Brusho Paints back ground.

Shake a TINY amount of Brusho Paint onto the Canvas. I only used TWO colours here, on each Canvas.
Sandstone and Lemon for the flower image.
Black ( go VERY easy on this one) and Lemon again for the Tiger.
Violet and Orange for the Leopard.
I'll do a 'You Tube' canvas in the next two weeks to show how little you use. Mist some water onto the Paint and leave it to 'Wick out' without touching it for a few MINUTES!

I added more layers, for interest, with a stencil or two using Distress inks and maybe a tiny bit of stamping.
Finally, I taped with lo tac tape, the main stencil image down onto the canvas and used lots of Black Archival ink and a round blending tool to apply the ink. Job done!
The Leopard, handsome chap, needed some bleach here and there to 'ping out' the image from the paint.
Any questions please get in touch .
Thanks for popping over.

More Sweet Poppy Stencil Samples.... Brusho Paints Time!

Morning all ... more from Sweet Poppy Stencils. I've been working with their NEW designs all week.
This one is the fabulous Biplane design by Emma Cronin. One of my favourites.
I've used Brusho Paints from Oyster Stamps, for the background and stenciled the Biplane with Black Archival Inks.

Just word about cleaning your metal stencils - carefully clean them. If using pigment inks, you can use hand sanitiser gel and a soft toothbrush, then rinse off the stencil in water and dry. Beware of sharp edges, look after your fingers! For dye based inks or Brusho Paints just water and the soft toothbrush.

My completed image was cut into sections with a die, then mounted onto the base card with Sticky Pads.
The stamp is from my stash and I was tempted to write the word DAD on the card but my handwriting is naff and I was scared of ruining the whole card.
I'm sure you are more courageous than me!
Back tomorrow... A HUGE thank you for popping over to my blog today

New Designs From Sweet Poppy Stencils - Day 2

Evening all. Thanks for popping over to my Blog tonight. I'm sharing another project that I created, using a brand new design from Sweet Poppy Stencils, available from The Craft Station.

I taped the stencil down onto some white linen card stock and inked up the image through the stencil with Wendy Vecchi Archival inks... it took no time at all! The tiny 'Love' stamp was given to me last year by my friend Gina, who sent me a box full of old stamps she didn't want ... Some real treasures in there!  Thank you
Gina. x

The circle shaped Card has been cut from some dies I bought from Oyster Stamps. Sorry, I cannot remember the name of it!
Back tomorrow with a few more projects to share with you.
Thank you for looking.

Lavinia Stamps and the Bokeh Technique.

Morning all... I'm having a crafty Sunday.
This is what I've made so far. Blend three colours of Distress Inks (Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac and Dried Marigold) over some Centura Pearl card stock, the reverse white side. Then stamp the Silhouette House Pods from Lavinia Stamps using Versafine Ink. Dry with a heat gun.
Place a Circle Stencil over the images, this is a stencil designed by Finnabair and available from
Oyster Stamps)

Carefully sponge White Pigment ink through the circle shapes and allow to dry. I stencilled some of the smaller circle shapes close to the middle of my art work, to 'resemble' car head lights.. well, that was the idea!

A Light-bulb Stamp from The Artistic Stamper.

Hello all you crafty bloggers. A quick post from me tonight, to share a fantastic little Light-bulb stamp with you, from The Artistic Stamper.
I LOVE this Stamp. You can colour and 'fill' in the blank Light-bulb image (you get two in a pack ... one is a Steampunk image) using virtually any stamps or mediums you like.

So versatile and a great price.
I've coloured my images before stamping, using a different medium for each one. Distress Stains, Distress Inks or Watercolour Paints, all on Watercolour card stock ... then I stamped using more images from The Artistic Stamper and some from my stash.
Jennie.... we need a large Light-bulb image please! Just think of what we could do with that... I see it full of Stencils !
I've been invited to host a Workshop on 11th  March, at the shop down in sunny Faversham
Please ring  for details and bookings 01795 597757.
Thanks for looking today ... back soon.
